We Art Women – Coming this April

Boise, ID – In 1995, Rocci Johnson began “Celebration of the Women in the Arts” at Hannah’s at 6th and Main in Boise as a benefit for the Women’s and Children’s Alliance that combats domestic abuse. Teaming up with metal artist, Zella Bardsley, the name changed to We Art Women and the event moved to the Esther Simplot Center for Performing Arts in 2007, and then the VAC from 2008-2011. This event raised over $15,000 for the WCA in its final year, supporting local artists along the way. We intend to carry on that tradition for years to come.

The 2020 Event will take place at Art Source Gallery, 1015 Main St. Boise ID 83702 with a $10 tax-deductible admission. Tickets will be available at the door on April 9, 2020. We invite all of Treasure Valley to join us in the celebration!

“We chose April to hold this event as it is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. The Diva’s of Boise will be back to entertain and it’s wonderful to see so many of our local artists and those from out of state involved in this benefit. We are hoping to see a sea of teal at Art Source Gallery for the celebration on the 9th.”
