    Kids in Quarantine Episode 1

With everyone stuck at home more than we’re used, we’ve all had to find new ways to adapt. Fortunately, we can take solace in knowing that we are all in this together. And sharing our stories is one way to keep us connected! So please enjoy our latest mini-blog series: Kids in Quarantine.

Episode One – Just Getting Used to School

Having a shy little one isn’t easy, especially when you’re trying to convince them that they have to go to school now. “But Mom, I don’t want to go to school…” was the repeated phrase for a year before her first day. Between acclimating to daycare and finally convincing her that school was going to be fun, she started to enjoy getting out, making friends, learning, and socializing.

That was until, of course, quarantine started. Commence digital learning courtesy of Mom. Who is also now Teacher. Along with working in an essential field.

“But I have noticed changes as far as daycare goes with my youngest. It’s so different now, and I think it scares her. I’m not allowed to walk her to her class in the morning anymore. I have to drop her off with someone at the door. Her regular teacher is out- home with her own kiddos so it’s been rough. Lots of change.”

Thankfully, the trio is able to get outside and spend lots of time together. There’s something about nature that makes adapting to change so much easier.

With the little ones adjusting to this strange new normal, “I’m more at peace with the chaos,” says Boise Mom of 2.
