A Love Letter to Treefort

We cannot wait to hang out with you in September!

    Author: McCale Ashenbrener

    Dear Treefort,

The chirping birds and budding trees just don’t feel right without you. You bring the Spring, filling our streets with raucous, frivolous joy.

We love going all in with you: there for the first show on Wednesday and closing it down Sunday night, not quite ready to say goodbye.

We will miss the coffee-fueled mornings perusing all the happenings: the shows, the forting, the food, the spontaneous celebrations; curating a schedule that goes to the wayside once we jump into the current of happy happenstances.

Thank you dearly for tending to the soil of Boise and helping us bloom, making it a fertile place for musicians, artists, makers, dancers et al to thrive and share their light.

You are much more than a music festival, you are a joyous celebration of community, creativity and connection. As the day arrives when we had hoped to have you in our arms again, we want you to know just how dearly you are loved by Boise.

Happy ninth birthday! Thank you to the founders, among so many others, for your vision and dedication to bring Treefort and its tendrils to our city streets. We cannot wait to party with you in September!
